Faculty & Instructional Resources
The Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning is the go-to resource for faculty to receive accessibility support. Visit their webpages to find more information on Yale’s accessibility policy and course materials, designing accessible Canvas courses, and more. They offer a number of workshops and individual consultations.
Thinking about Accessibility is a series of events offered by the Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning. While they are tailored to ensuring that learning activities and resources are accessible to all students, anyone at the university is welcome to attend. Sessions focus on such topics as PDF and Word Document accessibility and creating accessible courses in canvas. Please register for PCTL events ahead of time.
PCTL is also happy to work with faculty to analyze the accessibility of their course design, instructional techniques and digital resources. Instructors should request a 1-on-1 consultation from the PCTL.
Faculty are also welcome to make use of any of the resources and instructor-led trainings provided for content editors and developers.
If faculty would like further support, they can email accessibility@yale.edu to discuss their individual needs.
