Third-Party Reviews

Based on their own time and expertise, a development team may choose to hire an outside vendor that specializes in accessibility evaluation to conduct an accessibility audit. Such vendors will conduct an exhaustive review and provide a list of issues for development teams to address, giving a high degree of confidence that a project is accessible. It is also reasonable to ask vendors who do not have accessibility expertise to engage a third-party review. It is helpful to make that determination at the beginning of a project while a contract is being negotiated, rather than when development is almost complete.

Yale ITS can assist with identifying reputable vendors for those wishing to have a third-party expert to validate accessibility. For more information visit the ITS page for Accessibility Consulting.
